Tasked to find a company with no website. I found a perfect startup company called Reflected Design working out of their garage building diy mirror kits for customers to install themselves located in Herriman, UT. This company did not have a website or any design elements like logos or styles.

My process begins with a competitive analysis, which is essential for a startup like Reflected Design. Through this analysis, I gain insights into the market landscape, identify key competitors, understand their offerings, and assess their strengths and weaknesses. This information is invaluable for making informed decisions on business strategies, including pricing, marketing, and product development, by understanding what users prefer.
I realized that establishing an online presence is essential for our company to reach more customers. I needed to create a website to serve as the company's face, along with developing a distinct style and logo. Additionally, I set up social media platforms to increase brand awareness and connect with a broader audience.
Aiming to create a natural, woodsy feel that reflects the company's commitment to custom, high-quality work, I selected images showcasing natural wood tones that highlights their craftsmanship. Conveying a sense of custom-made products with exceptional quality would be important for Reflected Design.
After testing out many different color options, I selected 2 options that conveyed the design style I wanted.
When implementing these colors into the website design, option 1 evoked a cabin-like atmosphere, emphasizing natural tones to complement the wood textures and convey a high-quality aesthetic feel. Choosing color option 2 enhanced the sense of professionalism, particularly with the darker navigation bars.
Option 2 stood out as the winner. It conveyed the professionalism and high-quality feel I aimed to achieve.
Creating logos is a particularly enjoyable process for me. I got
carried away and designed six different styles. Ultimately, I
chose
Example 1
because it could easily adapt to both dark and light
backgrounds. Each logo features a reflective element in its
design.
I selected Arial for its modern feel and
readability.
The color scheme, consisting of dark
greens, browns, and blacks, was chosen to convey professionalism
and a naturalistic vibe.

I designed each advertisement using Adobe Illustrator. The infographic design includes graphs that I created.

This is where I get to apply my design skills comprehensively. I integrated the color palette, mood board, and company style guide to create a competitive website for a deserving company. The homepage features a modal popup encouraging users to subscribe and save, designed for optimal user experience with easy exit options via the "x" button or clicking the background.
This project was one of my favorites because I got to do see the project through from beginning to end. I loved designing all the elements in Illustrator and putting all the design work together in a finished website. I learned a lot about layout and where to place content. I have never done a modal popup before so this was fun to learn how to design as well as code. I really enjoyed working with this color scheme. I also really liked the carousel showing before and after images of mirrors with and without frames.
If I were to do anything differently, I would make the design not have so many repeated elements, especially in the footer. The less repeated code the better. I also would like more practice at getting clearer images even if I need to downsize them for a website.
